1. Water is stored inside the walls of the unit, not sitting open in a basin
2. When the pet drinks, water flows into the small drinking well
3. As the pet drinks, the well keeps refilling from the walls. Only a shallow level of water sits at the drinking surface, while the rest stays stored inside the walls

Yes. Torus is a cordless pet water dispenser with no pump, no motor and no batteries. Water is stored inside the walls of the bowl and flows into the drinking well by gravity as your pet drinks, through a replaceable carbon filter. It is completely silent and works anywhere, at home or in the car.

**What is the difference between Torus and a pet water fountain?**
A fountain uses an electric pump to circulate water in an open basin, so it needs power, makes some noise and has a pump to clean. Torus has no pump and no power: water stays stored inside its walls, shielded from dust and hair, and is filtered as it flows into the drinking well.

**How is Torus different from a gravity waterer?**
A gravity waterer is an upturned bottle over an open basin, so it can tip and is not built for travel. Torus stores the water inside its own walls, has a weighted base that is very hard to tip, and locks shut so you can take it on walks or use it in the car.

**Is there a non-electric water fountain for cats?**
Yes. The Torus MINI is a non-electric, filtered water dispenser for cats and toy breeds up to 6 kg (13 lb). It has no pump, so there is no motor noise to bother nervous cats, and it holds 34 oz (about 1 litre).

**What water bowl doesn't spill in the car?**
The Torus MAXI and MINI lock shut, so you can carry them to the car without spills. Unlock when you start your journey and your pet can drink along the way with no spills.
